About

The Project of Achieving consensus in training (PACT) is a pan-European project for the development of a harmonised specialist training standard and curriculum in the field of obstetrics and gynaecology.

Impact

The project aims to increase the quality of the training of future health professionals in the field of obstetrics and gynaecology, according to the latest insights in medical education, and therefore ensuring optimal healthcare for women and their babies in Europe.

Main deliverables

Reduction in the variation of doctor’s skills and disparities in healthcare for women

A decline in unnecessary medical interventions such as caesarean sections

Empowerment of patients thanks to patient-centred care

Doctors prepared for life-long learning to ensure their skills remain up-to-date throughout their careers

Why necessary in society?
